Kilverm Pig & Poultry

Kilverm is effective against sensitive strains of the following parasites in poultry
– Large Roundworms (Ascaridia galli)
– Caecal Worm (Heterakis gallinae)
– Hairworm (Capillaria spp.)
The above are the most important intestinal worms in fowls, turkey and other birds

Contraindication: This product is contraindicated in extremely hot weather

Administration: Mix with clean drinking water. For maximum efficiency it must be consumed in the shortest time possible. Withhold water from birds 2 hours before nightfall. The required amount of medicated water is then made available so that the birds can start drinking it at daylight. Replace with clean water after 8 hours or when medication is consumed

Birds under continuous light should be treated by withholding water for 2 hours then giving medicated water as above

Dose Rate For Poultry: Dilute 10mL of VETSENSE KILVERM in 200mL of water for each 6kg live weight

(1.75 mL of VETSENSE KILVERM in 35mL of water per 1kg live weight) Mix 40mL/litre water for 1 day. Repeat 2 weeks later

Pestene

Pestene Powder is an effective topical treatment for the control of lice, mites and fleas in poultry, dogs, cats, horses, calves and goats

It is produced from Derris Dust which is considered a natural pesticide. It is to be applied weekly (or as required) directly on the affected animal and also their bedding and environment.

Sprinkle Pestene liberally through the coat or feathers and work thoroughly into skin
Pestene is not to be used on puppies and kitten under the age of three months and use only as directed on the label

For drinking water: add at a rate of 30mL to 100L water. When disease is present, increase to 60mL per 100L for nipple systems and 120mL per 100L for drinker systems

Fowl Pox: Paint eyes (full strength). This does not hurt the bird, in fact they quite enjoy the soothing effect it has on them. Use a small soft paint brush about 1" wide, even a feather can be used to wipe it over
