Traitez vos oiseaux contre les vers tous les trois mois. Utilisez le début de chaque nouvelle saison comme guide pour vous rappeler quand administrer le traitement au printemps, en été, en automne et en hiver. Perchoirs plats ou ronds ? Les perchoirs plats en bois doivent être utilisés avec une surface debout de 3" de large x 2" de profondeur. Les perchoirs ronds créent des problèmes de santé internes et externes pour les volailles. Vos oiseaux auront moins de stress si vous les gardez avec le même aliment que nous les avons nourris, en fait cela s'applique à tout le bétail. Bien que donner des restes de légumes à vos appétits puisse sembler être un régal, cela peut déséquilibrer leur alimentation et réduire le nombre d'œufs qu'ils pondent. Les vers de farine séchés sont une excellente alternative pour la volaille, ils sont riches en protéines et en acides aminés. Nourrissez environ 5 vers par jour en raison de leur teneur élevée en protéines. Ne donnez pas de blé ou de maïs supplémentaire car cela déséquilibrerait les 16% de protéines, c'est le facteur le plus important pour les poulettes pondeuses.
